SEOVitals collects absolutely no personal data, browsing history, or usage analytics. Everything runs locally inside your browser.

1. What SEOVitals Does

SEOVitals is a browser extension that analyses the SEO properties of webpages you choose to inspect. When you click the extension icon, it reads the HTML of the currently active tab to extract SEO-relevant information such as meta tags, headings, images, links, and structured data.

2. Data We Collect

We collect nothing. Specifically:

  • No personal information is collected, stored, or transmitted.
  • No browsing history is recorded or shared.
  • No analytics or tracking scripts are included in the extension.
  • No cookies are set by the extension.
  • No account or sign-up is required.

3. How Page Data Is Used

When you open the SEOVitals popup on a webpage, the extension temporarily reads that page’s HTML within your browser to generate the SEO analysis displayed in the popup. This data:

  • Is processed entirely within your browser (locally).
  • Is never sent to any external server, API, or third party.
  • Is discarded as soon as you close the popup or navigate away.

4. Permissions Explained

  • activeTab — allows the extension to access the current tab only when you click the icon. It cannot access other tabs or run in the background.
  • scripting — allows the extension to inject the analysis script into the active tab’s page to read SEO properties.
  • clipboardWrite — allows the “Copy Report” button to copy the analysis text to your clipboard. This is only triggered by your explicit click.

5. Third-Party Services

SEOVitals does not use any third-party services, SDKs, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. The extension has no external dependencies and makes no network requests of its own.

6. Children’s Privacy

SEOVitals does not collect any data from any users, including children under the age of 13. The extension is intended for web developers, marketers, and SEO professionals.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL with an updated effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the extension’s update release notes on the browser store.
